Trailblazer Snowmobile Tours
is a backcountry guide service which operates under a special use permit in the Arapaho National Forest. We have been providing Winter Park's Favorite snowmobile tour since 1983 on over 100 miles of maintained mountainous trails - more trail than you can ride in a day. We feature two separate trail systems - the "Main" is located in St. Louis, Elk and Vasquez Creeks south of Fraser and Church Park to the west in the Beaver and Williams Fork drainages.Trailblazer offers more touring options for your enjoyment - because we can. Our Tour Base is an 1800s cabin located between our two systems.

| Tours range from one hour family rides and lunch rides to all day Adventure Tours and Private Rides. All of our tours feature exciting mountain riding on varied terrain with several stops to enjoy Grand County's beautiful scenery. It is not uncommon to sight one of our resident moose feeding in a willow thicket or scare up a flight of ptarmigan. |

Tour Options
Our most popular tour is the Two Hour Tour which travels 25 to 30 miles through the National Forest. Trailblazer's Two Hour Tour seems to be the right length of time and the right spending level for most of our guests and is recommended for families with kids and first time riders. Our mountain guides evaluate each group to determine the best route for our guests so no two tours are alike with Trailblazer.
Half Day Adventure Tours are geared towards experienced snowmobilers, guests that have ridden with us before or newcomers who want to ride hard and play hard. The Adventure Tours travel further into the backcountry, usually on more technical terrain. Double riders are discouraged on our Adventure Tours.
The two most common destinations for the longer rides are 12,000 foot Vasquez Mountain and Church Park. The summit of Vasquez Mountain features a spectacular 360 degree view of Grand County, the Continental Divide, the Indian Peaks and Vasquez Wilderness and Rocky Mountain National Park. You can actually look down into the Vasquez Cirque at the Winter Park Ski Area. Church Park is a series of open meadows interlaced with logging roads which provides the best powder riding in the area. Bring your snorkel on powder days.
Private Rides may be requested in advance. We will try to accommodate. Generally not available on Saturdays or Holiday periods, however, if your group reserves 6 or more snowmobiles, you will generally get your own guide. Enjoy the attention of your own guide while riding an high performance Phazer on one of our Half Day or Full Day rides. You'll cover more terrain and get the full effect of our professional guide service. This is what snowmobiling's all about!

Our Panthers are the standard touring machines for singles or doubles on our one, two and three hour family tours and rides. Trailblazer features the only 4-stroke fleet in Grand County for your riding pleasure. The quiet, emvironmentally friendly machines are the wave of the future. These are the only machines that will accomodate two riders. |

Discriminating guests riding on our Adventure Tours will enjoy our new Phazer MTX sleds. They are the most powerful high performance snowmobiles available in the Winter Park area. Riding a Phazer with a deep lug track powered by a 80 horsepower engine through champagne powder is the ultimate rush for you adrenaline junkies. Nobody rides like Trailblazer!
| What to Expect
We provide snowmobile boots and helmets for all of our guests. Each guest should wear warm winter clothing, including pants or bibs, jacket, gloves and eye wear - ski clothing is completely appropriate. Snowmobile suits are available for $6
Guests need to arrive at our Tour Base 45 minutes prior to Tour time to get the paperwork done and get suited up.
Each tour starts with a safety and operations briefing to ensure a safe and enjoyable tour for everyone. Most folks we take out have never ridden a snowmobile before so our guides are pros at showing first time riders how to have fun on a snowmobile. With Trailblazer, the fun factor is second only to safety.
